Since Vince McMahon announced that WWE's version of ECW will end its SyFy run in three weeks and will be replaced by the "next evolution" for WWE, fans have been wondering exactly what WWE NXT will consist of.

The word we are getting is that the series concept will be something of a "reality" based series featuring new talents who viewers will be able to follow inside and outside of the ring. The idea is that fans will be able to follow wrestlers from day one and get personal insight into them, their background and their goals, creating a different sense of deeper insight to the performers.

As it stands (and until the series airs, things could always change), the concept sounds similar to WWE's old MTV Tough Enough series or the UFC's Ultimate Fighter on SpikeTV with talents not only feuding with each other, but for the opportunity to become the "next" big WWE Superstar and move onto Raw and Smackdown.

WWE has been pitching different concepts for the series and formalizing plans since Fall of 2009, but right now, all signs are pointing to this concept being the nucleus of WWE NXT.

It still is. I believe it's the highest rated show on Spike TV. Not sure if it compares to RAW, but it's up there. I've enjoyed it every time I've watched it; very cool concept.

By the way, what's gonna happen to this forum after NXT debuts? xD

I say you move all these topics to WWE and start a fresh new forums just for NXT. Maybe post our favs and non favs I don't know but if this is the real idea I'm interested in NXT.

Tonight on WWE Raw ECW Champion Christian helped open the show along side with Sheamus and Guest Host Nascar Driver Carl Edwards. In the segment Christian revealed that all ECW Stars will be come free agents after ECW goes off air and will be free to go to any show “they choose.” Christian teased that he will be coming to Raw but nothing has been finalized at this point. As of now Christian will be known has ECW’s last world champion. As of now there is no plans of the title switching hands, but anything can happen with in the next two weeks.

Also announced on Raw tonight was next weeks Guest Host and that will be none other than Americas Favorite Host Jerry Springer!

That's a very cool thing to do indeed. They should have Christian face one of the World Champs in either RAW or SmackDown and unify his belt. That makes a lot of sense, and is a very easy way to make a contender out of Christian. Should be interesting to see each week who joins which brand, and who decides to stay for NXT.

Why not? Worth a shot, ECW was a collection of decent wrestlers and bad storylines, bad angles and...well, you get the idea. 2009 was their worst year yet, so a fresh start is definitely needed.
